  • British television presenter and former professional tennis player
  • She has won 15 Women’s Tennis Association titles in her career
  • She retired from professional tennis in 1984.
  • She started working for the BBC as a tennis presenter in 1993
  • She is well-known for presenting A Question of Sport (for 24 years)
  • She has also hosted the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards
  • She was romantically linked to Cliff Richard in the 1980s.
  • She was awarded the MBE for her services to sports broadcasting.
  • She’s the last British woman to win the French Open
  • She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2004.
  • In 2022 she wrote her autobiography Calling the Shots
