Jimmy Osmond

  • American singer and businessman
  • He is one of 9 children
  • He is best known for being  the youngest member of an American  sibling musical group (The Osmonds)
  • As a solo artist, Osmond has accumulated six gold records, one platinum record, and two gold albums
  • He received his first gold record at age five for a song he recorded in Japanese
  • His 1972 recording of “Long Haired Lover from Liverpool” resulted in The Guinness Book of World Records designating him the youngest performer to have a #1 single on the UK Singles Chart
  • He appeared in two episodes of the TV series Fame
  • Like his brother Donny many years earlier, he starred in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
  • He has appeared many times in Panto in the UK
  • He was in the 2005 series of  I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! And finished 4th
  • He’s also been in  All Star Family Fortunes, Celebrity  Come Dine with Me, Celebrity Family Fortunes and was a finalist on Celebrity Masterchef
  • In 2014 he wrote the children’s book Awesome Possum Family Band.
