Sia | Mike Beeston

Australian singer and songwriter.
Born and raised in Adelaide, she started her career as a singer in the acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s.
When Crisp disbanded in 1997, she released her debut studio album, OnlySee (It wasn’t successful and no singles were released from it)
Uncomfortable with her growing fame, she took a break from performing and focused on songwriting for other artists including Beyonce and Kylie, and producing successful collaborations, Diamonds (with Rihanna) and Wild Ones (with Flo Rida).
She wrote Titanium for Alicia Keys, but it was later sent to David Guetta, who included her original demo vocals on the song and released it as a single in 2011.
It wasn’t until her sixth album 1000 Forms of Fear that she found widespread success with the single Chandelier
Since then, Sia has usually worn a wig that obscures her face to protect her privacy
When asked if she was religious, she responded, “I believe in a higher power and it’s called ‘Whatever Dude’ and he’s a queer, surfing Santa that’s a bit like my grandpa, so yes.” She has “Whatever Dude” tattooed on one of her hands
In 2011, she appeared on the first season of the US version of The Voice as an adviser for Christina Aguilera, who served as a vocal coach and judge.
She has experienced depression and addictions to painkillers and alcohol, also suffering with PTSD and Autism
She appeared in the 2017 animated film My Little Pony: The Movie as the voice of pop star Songbird Serenade
She has released nine studio albums, six live albums, 67 singles, and 42 music videos.
Her hits include: “Chandelier”, “Elastic Heart”, “Cheap Thrills”, and “Flames” (with David Guetta)
